2.Following the transfer of HSBC Sri Lanka's Retail Banking portfolio to Nations Trust Bank PLC (NTB), customers who have current accounts, savings accounts, and fixed deposits in both the transferred HSBC portfolio and NTB will be entitled to a single deposit insurance coverage under the Sri Lanka Deposit Insurance Scheme (SLDIS). This coverage will be calculated based on the total value of all eligible deposits held by the customer, effective from 01 May 2026.
